Employee Spotlight: Taral

Employee Spotlight: Taral

Taral started 6 years ago at Braam’s in a sales and design position at our Oakville showroom and has flourished over the years with us. Crediting her time at Braam’s to her current design taste, she admits that her time with clients has evolved how she approaches design – she now has a much more client focused mindset when approaching a new design. Her responsibilities in the showroom include meeting with new clients, discussing design preferences, developing a millwork plan, and seeing a job through to installation.

While her current job is focused heavily upon residential projects, it hasn’t always been that way. Her career started back in India where she earned a 5-year degree in interior architecture. After that, Taral moved over to London, England where she studied fine arts for a change of pace. While over in England, Taral married her long-time boyfriend and the two decided to relocate once more – this time, to Canada. Her reasoning? India was much too hot, and she always dreamed of moving to a country with a colder climate.

Once in Canada, Taral landed a job with a design company that focused heavily on corporate design. While the work was rewarding and she was always busy, Taral had always wished to work with homeowners in seeing their dream homes come to life. Upon seeing a job posting at Braam’s, Taral took a chance and applied. Fast-forward 6 years, and Taral has become an integral member of our Oakville team with impeccable design taste and a winning personality.

To Taral, millwork and cabinetry is not only interior planning, but also product design. She sees cabinetry as the anchor to a space and enjoys being able to create pieces that are meant to be kept a lifetime. Her favourite part of her job? The journey to the end: meeting the client, tailoring the design to their preferences, and seeing the space become a reality.

We appreciate your hardwork and dedication over the years, Taral! We can’t wait to see what interesting and unique projects you come up with next. Thank you for being part of the Braam’s Family.
